Obituaries

Lucille M. Berth, age 88 of Plymouth, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, June 24, 2012, at the Plymouth Care Center, where she had been a patient for two years. She was born April 18, 1924 in Plymouth, a daughter of the late Edward and Verna (Hahn) Hueppchen. She attended Plymouth schools. On June 14, 1947, she was married to Buddy Berth at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. The couple lived in the Town of Mitchell where ran a hobby farm until moving to Plymouth in the early 1990s. Lucille had been employed at Borden Foods in Plymouth and then worked for the West Bend Co for fifteen years before retiring. She is a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Lucille enjoyed caring for her home, and did canning and cooking. Survivors include her husband, Buddy, a resident of Plymouth Care Center, two sisters in-law Gertrude Koepke of Cascade, Joyce Hansen of Random Lake and one brother in-law Allen and Mary Ann Berth of Cascade as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Hattie Balzan, Ruther Weber and two brothers Harold and Herbert Hueppchen. Funeral services will be held Friday evening, June 29, 6:00 PM the Schneider Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. Thomas Burton will officiate. Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Schneider Funeral Home from 4:00 PM Friday until the time of service. A memorial fund will be established in Lucille’s name.
