Obituaries

Martha Veronica Adeline (Luedtke) Koepke, age 92, of Plymouth, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Libby’s House in Plymouth. She was born on September 17, 1919 in the Town of Mitchell daughter of the late August and Olga (Schactschneider) Luedtke. Martha was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cascade, she attended the Ideal Grade School in the Town of Mitchell through the 8th grade. On March 29, 1941 she married Earl Koepke at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Parsonage in the Town of Scott. Earl preceded her in death on March 16, 2012, days before their 71st wedding anniversary. Through out her working career she worked for Wienhold’s Grocery Store in Cascade for over 20 years, retired from Amity of West Bend at the age of 68 and continued to do house cleaning for many friends in Sheboygan County till the age of 85. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Scott. Her and her husband enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, bingo, couples bowling, playing cards, growing flowers, crocheting, sewing, making wreaths, listening to Christian music, watching church services on TV, and her greatest joy was being with her family especially her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Sandra (James) Preder, five grandchildren Joelle (John) Lider, Garret (Shannon) Preder, Jamie (Michele) Preder, Kirk (Amanda) Stanford, Isaac (Kimberly) Preder, 9 great grandchildren Joshua Lider, Tristan Preder, Braydon Wondergem, Skylynn Peder, Jeroen Preder, Evan Stanford, Caden Preder, Aaron Stanford, and Aubree Preder, brothers Art (Mary) Luedtke, Louis (Beverly) Luedtke, brother-in-law Gaylord Krahn, and a sister-in-law Sharon Luedtke. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson Klant Preder, Walter and Olive, William and Ethel, Harold and Betty, Arno and Margie, Oscar, Robert and Deloris, Margaret and Lester, Laura and Orlin, Ruth and Harold, a godson Richard Reysen, Otto and Linda Koepke, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Scott with the Rev. Kurt Ziemann officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 12 PM until the time of service. Schneider Funeral Home & Life Tributes is assisting the family with arrangements.
