Obituaries

Lorraine A. Loomis, age 81, of Waldo, died on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at her home.
She was born on July 28, 1931 daughter of the late John and Mary (Good) Zielinski.
She attended and graduated from St. Aquinas High School in Lacrosse in 1949 and furthered her education at MATC with a degree in accounting in 1979.
In 1950 she married Donald Loomis in Lacrosse. He preceded her in death in 1997. She later married John Handzlik in 1979. He preceded her in death in 2006.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Through out her working career she held previous jobs in the Milwaukee area prior to working in Waldo for the Shoreline Chronicle as an office manager retiring in 1987. After her retirement she served as the village clerk and notary in Waldo.
She is survived by her 4 children Greg (Mary) Loomis of Colgate, Mark (Paula) Loomis of St. Cloud, Linda (Gary) McGinnis of Reedsville, Richard (Darice) Loomis of Fond du Lac, 7 grandchildren Eric Loomis, Daniel Loomis, David (Christina) McGinnis, Laura McGinnis, Sarah McGinnis, Dakota and Wyatt Loomis, 4 great grandchildren Jazimen and Brook Loomis, Shelby and Jayden Blasing. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Donald and John, a daughter Cynthia, a son Scott, a sister Ethel, and a brother Richard.
Funeral services will be held at 7 PM on Monday, April 16, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth with The Very Rev. Dennis Vanbeek officiating. Burial will take place in the Waldo Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday at the church from 4 PM until the time of service.
Lorraine will always be remembered for her positive Christian attitude and kind words to all.
