<title>Edward G. O&#039;Brien [05/25/1940 - 02/05/2012] </title>

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://wittkoppschneider.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/60_114696.jpg" alt="Edward G. O&#039;Brien" />EDWARD (Ed) G. O’BRIEN, age 71, of 346 Suhrke Rd. Plymouth passed away early in the morning of Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center after a battle with Cancer.
He was born May 25, 1940, in Marshfield, WI, a son of the late Joseph and Edith (Boyer) O’Brien.  
Ed began his schooling in Marshfield.  In 1953 he moved to Plymouth to live with his sister and brother-in-law Maggie and Shorty Volkomener attending schools in Plymouth.   He graduated from auctioneer school and then drove truck for Chair City in Sheboygan. 
    Ed then became a car salesman for Adell Motors, Cornell Motors and retired from Burkart Ford in Plymouth.  
  On June 14, 1997 he married Debbie L. Behr De Zwarte.  They made their home in Plymouth.
 In retirement, Ed continued to stay involved working in car auctions.  
  Ed and his wife enjoyed spending time at their summer home in Eagle River, He enjoyed traveling with his family, visiting his daughter in Florida, going to Las Vegas, taking an Alaskan Cruise and visiting other friends and family.  His greatest love was being surrounded by his grandchildren and spending time with them.   Ed was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. 
  Eddie will be remembered for his comedic personality and his love of engaging others in conversation in sports, politics, NASCAR especially with his family of friends at the Bar-B-Que restaurant.  
  Survivors include his loving wife Debbie, three children, Kelly O’Brien of Orlando Fla, 
Matthew (Missy) De Zwarte and Nicole Fox (her fiancée Troy Struve) all of Plymouth; five grandchildren, Bennett Fernsler, Carissa De Zwarte, Dylonn Fox, Mariah Fox and Raya Fox;  two sisters Marie Gloede and Bernadette (David) Cary both of Plymouth; his brother and sister in-law Gary Behr of Michigan, Larry (Sarah) Behr of Plymouth  and numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins. 
He was preceded in death by one grandson Abram De Zwarte, one sister Margaret Volkomener , a brother Robert O’Brien, a brother-in-law, Shorty Volkomener, and a great nephew, Gabe Miller.  
  Funeral services will be held at 6 PM on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Life Tributes in Plymouth with Mr. Dale Miller, Lay Minister of Salem UCC officiating.  Cremation will follow the services with inurnment in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 PM until the time of service. 
  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Bettag and his staff along with the nurses and staff of Rocky Knoll Health Care Center and the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice.
  A memorial fund has been established in the name of Ed O’Brien.

William George Reilly, 63, of 303 Frederick Street, Plymouth, lost his battle with leukemia on Saturday, February 4, 2012.

Bill was born March 1, 1948 at the Plymouth hospital, son of George and Delores Tuttle Reilly of the Town of Mitchell.  Bill attended Parnell and Cascade grade schools.  As a graduate of the Plymouth High School Class of 1966, he was part of the last class to graduate from the old high school, now Riverview.  

After graduation, Bill worked at Gehl Manufacturing in West Bend, WI.  He was drafted into the Army in 1968 and acted as a Sergeant in the Armored Division. Bill was a charter member of the Cascade Apollo Riders Snowmobile Club, the Cascade Athletic Association and the Cascade First Responders.  He was also a member of the Ambelang-Ebelt-Lau American Legion Post 386.

On July 29, 1972 Bill married Debbie Adams at St. John the Baptist Church in Plymouth, WI.  They lived in Cascade until 1992, when they built their home in Plymouth.  

He started working for the Sheboygan County Highway Department in 1972 and after 34 years, retired as Sheboygan County Patrol Superintendent.   He served on the Cascade Volunteer Fire Department  for over 20 years and was Fire Chief from 1980 to 1990.  Bill also belonged to the Nicolet Trail Riders.  

After retirement, Bill worked as handyman and groundskeeper at the Baymont Inn and Suites.   

Bill enjoyed fishing and ice fishing, landscaping, hunting, Harley riding with Debbie, working in the geerage and Saturday night dirt track racing.  He frequently went to their cabin in Tipler, WI, for the weekend and holidays with friends.  There he enjoyed making the rounds and watching the wildlife in the backyard from their sports bar, Poopsie and Jingles&#039;,  in the cabin.  More than anything, Bill enjoyed being a grandpa -   he and Bubba were always out carousing together, looking for trouble.   We&#039;ll always remember him for his friendliness, his ability to bring laughter to any situation and his attention to detail regarding his vehicles... and ours, and yours. 


He is survived by his wife Debbie; three sons:  Ryan (Joanna) of Random Lake, Jamie of Vero Beach, FL and Chris (Katie) of Plymouth; a grandson:  Aiden Reilly; a sister:  Bette (Steve) Adams of Plymouth; a brother Barry (Julie) Reilly of Neenah; his mother-in-law:  Dessie Adams of Plymouth; sister-in-laws:  Helen Adams of Plymouth, Jane Adams of Plymouth, Margaret (Peter) Zimmermann of Jackson; brother-in-law Bob (Sara) Adams of Plymouth; nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: Bradley Reilly; his father-in-law: Oren Adams; brother-in-law: Ed Adams.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 7th, 2012  at 6:30 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth with the Very Reverend Dennis E. Van Beek officiating.  Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m.  until the time of service.  Burial will take place at the parish cemetery.  Schneider Funeral Home and Life Tributes of Plymouth is handling arrangements.

A memorial fund is being established in Bill&#039;s name.   

The family would like to thank Dr. Jeanne Palmer and her staff; the nurses of the 4NT and BMT Unit at Froedert Hospital; Dr. Max Haid and the nurses of the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Sheboygan; the nurses of the 2nd Floor of Memorial Hospital and Hartland Hospice, especially Kim; and Schneider Funeral Home for all of their kindness and support.

<title>Carl R.F. Birkholz [01/18/1930 - 01/21/2012] </title>

     Carl R. F. Birkholz, 82, of rural Elkhart Lake, Wi., passed away  unexpectedly early on the morning of January 21, 2012 at St Nicholas Hospital.
       Carl was born to Helen (Kunze) Birkholz and Carl Richard Birkholz in Elmherst, Illinois on January 18, 1930.  Carl was the second of &quot;the boys&quot; which include Richard, Donald and Paul.  Being an Army family they lived many places throughout Illinois, Upper Michigan and Wisconsin.  They settled in rural Elkhart Lake on a 240 acre farm in 1946.
      A life changing event that was forever present in his thoughts was being drafted June 1951 into the Army and serving in the Korean Conflict.  He achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class in 13 months as a combat engineer with the 3rd Infantry Division.  During his service he was awarded a Bronze Star and the Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, among other awards. 
      He fondly remembered being involved with the Boy Scouts as a Scout Master with three of his scouts achieving Eagle Scout status.
      Carl was employed by Knowles Manufacturing Company Glenbeulah, Wi. as the shipping foreman for 33 years.  He enjoyed explaining that their products were shipped throughout the world.
       The farm was Carl&#039;s life. Carl had many interests; raising dairy and beef cattle, Tamworth hogs,  chickens, assorted fowl and was also an avid bee keeper.  He experimented extensively in propagating different crops, trees and botanical species. Over his lifetime he planted thousands of trees.  He was a member of the Sheboygan County Beekeeper Association,  Farm Bureau (50+ years), Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association, Seed Savers Association, Town of Russel Planning Board and a life member of the VFW.     
     Carl married Susan C. Szymanski on April 4, 1964 in Wheaton, Illinois.   They were blessed with three children; daughters Anna Birkholz, Plymouth,  Beth Birkholz, rural Elkhart Lake;  grandson Benjamin Hardin (U.S. Army, Ft. Lee, Virginia) , and son Kurt Birkholz (Jayne) rural Elkhart Lake;  grandson Wilhelm Birkholz.  He is further survived by brothers Richard (Donna) Birkholz Van Dyne, Wi.,  Donald Birkholz rural Elkhart Lake, and Paul(Nanci) Birkholz  Fond Du Lac as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, sister in law Marie Birkholz and his wife&#039;s parents Peter and Irene Szymanski.
      Funeral services will be held at 6 PM on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home &amp; Life Tributes (123 South Street) Plymouth with the Rev. Peter Peitsch, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Elkhart Lake, officiating.  Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home from 3 PM until the time of service. 
      The family requests that in lieu of flowers a plant/tree be planted or donations to the Arbor Day Foundation be made in his name.  When you plant a tree Carl would smile and say &quot;Job well done!&quot;

	 She was born on October 18, 1935 daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Bodle.  
She attended grade school and graduated from High School.  She grew up in a Military family living in many different areas of the United States.  She also felt compassionate about her country and joined the Civil Air Patrol reaching the rank of Major.
Through out her working career she worked for Veteran’s Administration in Washington D.C. and later in Chicago.
In her free time she enjoyed history, especially about WWII Politics, reading, and her cats.
She is survived by relatives and friends throughout the United States. 
	Funeral services will be held in conjunction with her step-sister Ann Bemis at 6 PM on Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home &amp; Life Tributes in Plymouth with the Rev. 	She was born in Elm Grove, WI on April 16, 1937 daughter of the late Burr and Helen (Beamer) Howard.
	She attended grade school and graduated from Wauwatosa East High School and furthered here education at the University of Madison.  
	She was confirmed at, and a former member of the First Congregational Church in Wauwatosa.
	She married Eugene G. Bemis at First Congregational Church in Wauwatosa on  July 19, 1956.
In her free time she enjoyed, traveling, reading, crocheting, politics, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and cats.  
	She is survived by her three children; Jean (John) Baumann of Batavia, Steve (Sandi) Bemis of Adell, John Bemis of Danville, IN, eight grandchildren; Angela (Gabe) Krebs, Joshua (Margaret) Baumann, Eugene Baumann, Russell Baumann, Sara Bemis, Michael, Stephanie, and Cody Bemis, a great grandchild Eliza Baumann, and a sister Kay R. Dean of Milwaukee, a niece Kim A. Dean and a nephew Byron H. Dean.  She is furthered survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 
	She was preceeded in death by her parents.

<title>Jack A. Picard [04/26/1933 - 01/10/2012] </title>

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://wittkoppschneider.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/60_112326.jpg" alt="Jack A. Picard" />Jack A. Picard, age 78, of Naples, Florida and of Plymouth, went home to be his Lord on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.
	He was born on April 26, 1933 in Plymouth to George and Audrey (Carpenter) Picard.  He graduated from Plymouth High School and attended the University of Wisconsin Green Bay
	On December 1, 1951, Jack was united in marriage to Mariann Laske of Plymouth at the Salem United Church of Christ.
	Jack heard the call of his country and served in the United States Army and the Wisconsin National Guard, retiring as the State of Wisconsin Provost Marshal in 1978.  He enlisted in the National Guard at the age of 16, based on the promise that the full-time recruiter would give him a ride to his home, five miles from Plymouth each night after High School football practice.  After ten days, the recruiter joined the Air Force, and it was back to hitchhiking!  Nevertheless, it was the beginning of a rewarding career.
Jack enjoyed a 37 year career with the Wisconsin Public Service Corporation, filling many roles and moving to many of the areas that they served.  He retired in 1994 as the Lakeshore division manager.  At that time Jack and Mariann moved to Naples, but kept an apartment in Plymouth, where they returned each summer.
	Jacks greatest joys were enjoying the company of his family, his many friends, spectator sports of all kinds, and an occasional Manhattan.  He was active in all of the communities that they lived in.  He is a past Jaycee, Kiwanian, a Rotarian in three cities, served on the Door County Planning Commission, the Manitowoc County Chamber of Commerce Board, the Two Rivers Hospital Board and the Two Rivers Police and Fire Commission.
	In addition to his wife, Mariann, he is survived by son Blair (Leslie) Picard of St. Louis, MO, their children Dr. Aimee, Charlotte, and Alexander; son, Gary (Pamela) Picard of DePere; daughter, Barbara Savagian, and her daughter, Dana, of Oshkosh; 2 brothers, Jerry (Donna) Picard and David (Gayle) Picard; 2 sisters, Pat (George) Fischer, Carmen (Glenn) TerMaat, and a brother-in-law Mike Cherveny. 
	He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and a brother-in-law; Ginny (DeLyle) Behr, and Judy Cherveny. 
	Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home in Plymouth with the Rev. Kim Henning of Two Rivers, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 AM until the time of service.
	The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Sheboygan Memorial for the wonderful care and concern shown to Jack and his family.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://wittkoppschneider.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/60_112099.jpg" alt="Mae V. Davis" />Mae V. Davis, age 91, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Rocky Knoll Health Care Center’s Woodland Village in Plymouth.
	She was born on October 4, 1920 in 
Milwaukee.  
	She attended St. John Lutheran Grade School and graduated from the Plymouth High School with the class of 1938. 
	On July 29, 1939 she married Eldon O. Davis at their home.  Rev. Martin Schmidt of St. John Lutheran Church performed the ceremony.  The couple made Plymouth their life long home.
	Mae was a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth, and a member of the Altar Guild.  
	Through out her working career she was employed at the Plymouth Police Department as a crossing guard later becoming and employee of the Plymouth Hospital in the Business office for fifteen years, after which she served on the Governing Board of Valley View Medical Center.
	Mae was active as a Cub Scout leader for many years with the City Pack 35 and later with Pack 49 of St. John Lutheran Church.  She was a 4-H leader, and a Camp Fire leader.  She also served as treasurer for the children of St. John Lutheran School.
	In her free time she truly enjoyed needlework, crafts, and ceramics, making many nice items which she shared with family and friends. 
	Mae is survived by two sons Dwight (Linda) Davis of Sister Bay, Donn (Karen) Davis of Plymouth, two grandchildren Christopher Davis and Kathryn Davis, step-sisters-in-law Myrtle (Marvin) Felmann of Plymouth, and Adele Hueppchen of Plymouth.   	She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Bertha (Seidemann) Winkler, her husband Eldon, a son Dale, a brother and sister-in-law Willard (Janet) Davis.
	Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM  on January 10, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home &amp; Life Tributes in Plymouth with the Rev. Nathan Meador and Rev. Thomas Burton, pastors of St. John Lutheran Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of service. 
	The family would like to extend special thanks to Mary Jane Tauschek, Mae’s caregiver for the past five years, and the staff the Rocky Knoll Health Care Center for the wonderful care and concern shown to Mae and her family.

Arbuckle Sr, age 81, of rural Random Lake, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
	He was born on June 17, 1930 in the Town of Mitchell son of Edna (Radder) Arbuckle.
	Ward heard the call of his country and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
	On June 13, 1959 he married Janice Luedtke at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cascade.
	Ward worked for Sheboygan County for many years retiring at age 63.
He was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Batavia.  He was a member of the American Legion in Batavia, played baseball for many years, enjoyed camping, country music, was an avid fisherman and hunter, and also enjoyed making wine and collecting maple syrup.
	He is survived by his loving wife Janice, 3 children Ken (Margie) Arbuckle of Cascade, Cheryl (Ken) Findling of ID, Lori (Kevin) Ruff of Fredonia, 9 grandchildren Jennifer (Michael) Schneider, Fred (Joy) Arbuckle, Frank (Tera) Arbuckle, Jessica Arbuckle, Francis (Michelle) Arbuckle, Amanda (Allen) Berkey, Chenice Tallabas, and Dalton Ruff, 9 great grandchildren, 2 sisters Ione (Richard) Otto of Sheboygan Falls, and Eileen (Robert) Metz of Plymouth.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Dustyn Ruff, 2 brothers Willard and Gilbert Arbuckle, and 2 sisters, Betty DeMarce and Marion Kuehl.  
	Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 9, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home in Plymouth with the Rev. Kurt Ziemann, pastor of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, officiating. <description><![CDATA[<img src="http://wittkoppschneider.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/60_111422.jpg" alt="Maria Berenger" />MARIA BERENGER, age 76, of Plymouth, passed away Monday evening, Dec 26, 2011 at the Sharon Richardson Hospice Center, where she had been a patient for two days. 
  She was born February 24, 1935 in Budapest Hungary a daughter of the late Franz and Maria (Werb) Wildanger.
Her family moved to Chicago in 1952.  She was married to Walter Osowski. They made their home in Chicago.  Maria became  a US citizen in 1961. In 1968 she married Robert Berenger.  The couple moved to Plymouth and then to Cascade.   Maria moved to Texas in 1985 returning to Plymouth this past summer. 
  Maria had been employed as a bookkeeper at Plymouth Plumbing and Heating from 1969-1979.  
She was fluent in three languages and enjoyed crocheting, needle point, knitting, cooking baking and sewing for her family.    Her family was the center of her life. 
  Survivors include three daughters, Rosie (Tim) Fischer of Plymouth, Deb (Randy) Niedfeldt of Plymouth, Sandy (Greg ) Gallo Berenger of The Colony,  Texas; one son Donny Berenger of Plymouth; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Wildanger and Katie Georg both of Plymouth.
  She was preceded in death by one son Ron Berenger, two grandchildren, Christel Niedfeldt and Mark Fischer.  
  Funeral services will be held Thursday Dec 29, 2011, 12 noon at the Schneider Funeral Home in Plymouth.  
  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Cascade.   Friends may call at the Funeral Home in Plymouth from 10:00 AM Thursday until the time of service.   
  A memorial fund will be established in Maria’s name.

	Alice Helen Noordyk, age 96, of Plymouth went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at the Rocky Knoll Health Care Center where she was a resident for the past 10 months.
	She was born on November 9, 1915 in New Holstein daughter of the late Roland and Alma (Ruh) Pohl.
	She attended Kiel Grady School in the Town of Greenbush and Glenbeulah High School.
	On September 23, 1936 she married Andrew Noordyk the couple lived in Greenbush and later moved to Plymouth making it their home.  He preceded her in death on January 10, 1982.
	She was a member of Salem United Church in Plymouth, a member of its Willing Workers, AARP, she was a Cub Scout Leader for many years, volunteered at the Plymouth Blood Bank and the Salvation Army.
	She is survived by five children Deanna Rortvedt, Robert (Mary) Noordyk, Dorothy (Warren) Pfrang, Faye (Bob) Klaschus, David (Susan) Noordyk, 14 grandchildren Kevin (Katie) Rortvedt, Jason (Missy) Rortvedt, Tori (Dr. Mark) Meyers, Stacy King, Michele (Bill) Haapala, Nick (Jill) Hughes, Curt (Chris) Hughes, Brian (Kelly) Klaschus, Theresa (Bruce) Pfeifer, Andy Klaschus, Matthew (Joy) Noordyk, Cassie (Dr. Peter) Raether, Ethan (Julia) Noordyk, Tate Noordyk and fiancé Jen Ackerman, and 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, a sister Elsie Schuricht, and a brother and sister-in-law Wallace (Dotty) Pohl.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister and brother-in-law Sylvia (Jerry) Mertens, a brother-in-law Lawrence Schuricht, a grandson Todd Hughes, and a great granddaughter Cydney Hughes and grandson-in-law Rick King.
	Funeral services will be held at 7 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Schneider Funeral Home &amp; Life Tributes in Plymouth with Lay Minister Dale Miller of Salem United Church on Christ in Plymouth, officiating.  Burial will take place in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 PM until the time service.  
	The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Rocky Knoll Health Care Center for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Alice and her family these past months.
